Last month we told you about Slim, a four-year-old starving dog who had been rescued after being abandoned in an empty Ohio house in December of last year. This adorable boy won’t go anywhere without his bucket, and now he’s ready to take his bucket home.
Rescue Me Ohio explained on their Facebook page : “[Slim] has a lot of energy and charm. He had some food guarding issues that the shelter staff and volunteers have worked with and he has come a long way.”
“He is anxious in the shelter and has destroyed most of the toys he’s been given. But his favorite toy is his bucket! He loves his bucket and is lost without it!!”
But Slim had nowhere to go. He was living in a kennel, and needed to be pulled by a rescue. Forget Me Not Animal Rescue stepped up, and was happy to bring fans the update:
“If you have seen the viral video of Slim, the dog with the bucket as his only toy, we have an update for you. We are happy to announce, on behalf of our President Gina Lallo, that Forget Me Not Animal Rescue has taken Slim into our rescue. If you’d like to contribute to Slim’s rehabilitation and training needs, all donations are greatly appreciated. Our PayPal email address is [email protected].”
“We are a small rescue but we are dedicated to helping the animals that need help the most,” Lallo said. “Our mission is to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned and homeless animals. We will make sure Slim has the very best care possible until he is ready for that forever home.”
