lindeyIt’s been a long recovery for Lindey the German Shepherd who was thrown off a bridge in Kansas City back in February. It was a miracle that she even survived, but now Lindey has a new home and is doing well.

Lindey miraculously survived being thrown almost 40-feet off a bridge back in February. An outpouring of support for Lindey came from all over the country. She had to undergo several surgeries and wasn’t able to walk for a while, but now Lindey is almost fully recovered.

“She’s certainly come a long way since I saw her the first time,” said Steve Riley, who performed most of Lindey’s surgeries.

This past Sunday Lindey was officially adopted by Nick and Ann McNeil. It was a happy and emotional day for many.

“I just cried,” said Ann McNeil. “We feel really lucky to have her.”

There were also tears from the Missouri German Shepherd Group who helped care for Lindey and find her a home.

Lindey is already settling in nicely at her new home and is fast becoming best friends with the McNeil’s other German Shepherd, Roxy.
