PAWS/LA (Pets Are Wonderful Support/LA) will unleash a variety of family and dog-friendly activities at the first annual PAWSAPALOOZA dog walk-a-thon and festival at Woodley Park in Van Nuys on Sunday June 2, 2013. The event kicks off at 8:00 AM with a 1.2-mile walk around Woodley Park with Honorary Walk Leader KTLA Personality Wendy Burch and her canine companion Sophy. Participants are encouraged to bring their canine companions (on leash of course!) to walk the path and raise money to support the vital programs of PAWS/LA. PAWSAPALOOZA is sponsored by The Petco Foundation, VCA Animal Hospitals, JAKKS Pets and Kong Premium Treats.

The festival, open from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM will include more than 15 exhibitors featuring pet-related agencies and services, as well as a variety of demonstrations including Disc Dogs, agility, search & rescue dogs and activities for kids including face painting, balloon art and a photo booth. A selection of food trucks will serve up a delectable variety of food choices, drinks, snacks and goodies.

Admission to the PAWSAPALOOZA festival is free. Pre-Registration for the Dog Walk-a-Thon is also free until May 27. Day of Walk registration is $10/walker. Participants can register for the walk on line at www.pawsapalooza.org.
