A San Diego dog took home first place at a surfing competition held in Del Mar over the weekend. Abbie Girl took her place in the lineup with only two minutes remaining. When she and a competitor caught the same wave things started to heat up. As the pair neared shore Abbie made a dramatic move, stealing the board of her competitor and forging ahead to victory. The crowd of spectators on shore went wild as she crossed the finish line.
Proceeds from Sunday’s event will be donated to the Helen Woodward Animal Center.
