When a fire broke out in Paul Kemp’s Iowa home early Tuesday morning his dog Sheba would come to the rescue and get him out safely. When Kemp got safely outside he realized Sheba had not come with him, so he rushed back into the burning home to save his best friend.

Last month we brought you the story of Trina, a survivor of Hurricane Katrina who eight years later was still looking for her forever home. Now Trina has now found the home that she has been long overdue for.

Sara Pelchat adopted Brinleigh from a local shelter less than two weeks ago. Brinleigh has already returned the favor and saved Pelchat’s life. When a fire broke out while Pelchat was sleeping Brinleigh came to the rescue and woke her up and saved her.

Rupee was rescued from a dump when he was only eight months old and barely clinging to life. Now the rescued dog has accomplished something that no other dog is known to have achieved. Rupee, along with his rescuer Joanne Lefson, climbed Mount Everest.

Today veteran Adam Morton will be reunited with his missing service dog thanks to the kindness of strangers.

When Army Sgt. Jason Van Loo learned his beloved yellow Lab Blu had cancer he was afraid he wouldn’t make in back from Afghanistan in time to see his best friend. Blu had been given only two months to live in April but he fought and was there to greet Sgt. Van Loo when he returned in August. Blu continues to fight and is there for his soldier, providing comfort and therapy.

On Saturday nineteen dogs were rescued from horrible conditions in a two –bedroom apartment in Oneida, New York. All of the dogs were severely neglected and have health problems. The dogs were all rushed to receive veterinary care and most are now in foster homes, but it will probably be months until the dogs are ready for adoption.

A dog named Chance is getting a second chance after being rescued from abusive owners. The German Shepherd just recently graduated from intensive training to become a police dog.

When a truck drove into the side of Jeff Groat’s home last Thursday three people were injured and his beloved dog Burke went missing. Burke was found near the hospital’s emergency room, it is speculated that the dog followed Groat’s ambulance to the hospital.
